4 Exercises to Improve POWER!

Everyone can use a little more POWER in their diet!! If you’re athletically inclined at all, you’re no doubt always working to get stronger, faster, and more explosive. Because no matter what level of athlete you are, it’s always possible to run faster, jump higher, and push harder. And the good news? You don’t have to hire a sport-specific trainer to start gaining some serious speed and power. Here are 4 exercises that will get you on the POWER Train!

Box jumps are a perfect power building exercise since they teach your body to create a large amount of force and power from a static, isometric position. As you gain in strength and power, you can increase the height of the box to continue making progress.

Explosive (or plyometric) push ups are a fun way to start gaining more power in your upper body. As a bonus, they make a pretty cool party trick!

Burpees, not only build massive amounts of endurance and are great for burning mega calories in a short amount of time, they’ll also cause you to be more explosive in your workouts and any sports you play. For maximum effect, really focus on getting air on the jump up.

Jump lunges ,are a great exercise for building explosive power across both sides of the body. Since the more power you get in each jump, the easier the exercise is, jump lunges teach your body to use strength and explosiveness together.
