A weightlifting plate is exposed to 500-600 floor drops during a competition. Eleiko's Olympic competition discs are tested for 5000 drops and are completely made in Sweden. The high quality is evident. Not just because of the sophisticated colours and custom designed rubber compound, but once you put your fingers around the gripping edge, you will not want to let go.

Each competition disc from Eleiko is calibrated according to the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) rules, each competition plate over 5 kg to be +0.1% and -0.05%. That means a 25kg plate must not weigh more than 25 grams over the 25 kg. A 25kg competition disc from The Eleiko weighs rarely more than 8-10 grams over the 25kg.
